Simple And Easy Dog Training Tricks

Many negative behaviors and habits can be removed from a dog. The information ahead will allow for not only correcting, but hopefully removing these bad habits as well. Training your dog can turn a dog into an ideal pet.

Give your puppy time to be okay with a crate by taking the training one small step at a time. Once your puppy feels comfortable in the open crate, close the door and offer the dog a treat. In the beginning it is important to only leave the dog in the crate for a few seconds. After a while you will be able to leave them in the crate for longer amounts of time. If they become upset, you are moving too fast.

Consider things from your dog’s perspective. Training your dog can get extremely frustrating at times, especially when your dog isn’t learning commands that you think are very simple. It might make things easier if you ask yourself what is going on in your dog’s mind. Consider how it would be to see the world in their eyes. Doing this will give you a completely different perspective, which should help you in training them.

Reward your dog’s good behavior. Whenever your dog does something right, it’s important that they remain calm. You may feel great about it, but you don’t want to make the pup feel over-excited. Act calmly, expect calmness, and then appropriately reward the dog.

A dog has an inquiring mind and will look at one thing for quite a while until its attention is broken. When a command is reinforced properly and often enough, your dog will begin to shift his focus from the distractions around to you in order to wait for your signal.

It is important for dog owners to realize that training no longer has to be a battle. When you have the right mentality and knowledge, puppy training becomes simple. A dog will become an even better pet thanks to the owner’s patience and training.
